All parents are encouraged to join the Laker Fan Club which supports the WB athletic program. We need a parent representative to attend the monthly meetings to represent us.

All athletes are expected to be available for every scheduled meet.

Swim Meet Ettiquette

EARNING A VARSITY LETTER

See the enclosed hand-out which outlines the requirements. Earning a letter requires fulfilling two requirements: meet points and practice attendance (we do practice over vacation periods)

AWAY MEET TRANSPORTATION

This year, there will be no busses provided to or from swim meets. Each athlete is required to arrange their own rides to and from each contest.

SO WHAT’S THIS I HEAR ABOUT EVERYONE SHAVING THEIR HEADS?

HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED AS A PARENT?

· Attend the meets and wear a parent shirt (Need someone to organize this)

· Help time at home meets (Need someone who will organize this)

· Post meet refreshments - Make sure pay your money for this program

· Attend social functions

· Team fundraisers (Invitational and Master’s Meet) (Advertising in pool area)

· Host a social event (Team Breakfast, Spaghetti Dinner, etc.) or help out someone who is hosting the event.

· Picture taking for the banquet slide show

· 50/50 Raffle at home meets (arrive by 6:15 P.M.)

· Hospitality Room for Laker Invitational

· Organize food for Masters Meet

MAKE SURE YOUR ATHLETES ARE BUDGETING THEIR TIME PROPERLY TO FULFILL THEIR COMMITMENT TO BEING A TEAM MEMBER.
