BOYS ASSISTANT COACH – MIKE SHEWACH

Coach Shewach
is a 1967 graduate of Mumford High School in Detroit. During his high school years he was a member
of the Track team. After High School he
attended Wayne State and also was involved in the Track
program there. His events were the
hurdles and javelin. He graduated in
1971 from Wayne
and began his teaching career with the Detroit Public Schools. After teaching there for 17 years, he came to
West Bloomfield High School
in 1988. He has been the only Boys
Assistant Swim Coach the program has ever had, starting in 1992. Coach Shewach also
coaches Cross Country in the Fall, Middle School
Swimming, and assists with the Track team during the Spring. Coach Shewach also
teaches Physical Education at West Bloomfield,
and he plans to retire from teaching in June of 2010.
